Meet Hubert LOISEAU, writer and honorary magistrate, who has published a book entitled "Le berger du colombier", subtitled "Révolte à la colonie pénitentiaire de Baugy". This meeting will be an opportunity to discuss with him the judicial treatment of minors at the end of the 19th century.
Hubert LOISEAU's book tells the story of a young man, a minor and fatherless, who is arrested in Paris for begging near the Hôtel de Ville. To "straighten him out", he is sent to a penal colony in Berry. This novel evokes the existence of penal colonies in the Cher department and the judicial treatment reserved for minors at the time.
